Tiny Florence – Spring 2026

Tiny Florence: Windows into the City brings together young artists whose work captures lived moments within the city, turning personal encounters with Florence into reflections of identity and growth.

The artists featured in Tiny Florence (Caroline Watson, Sarah Santoro, Andrea Tonseth, Magnus Browne, Hannah Rose Olesen, Nora Marasco, Maria Brennan) are students at Florence University of the Arts & The American University of Florence studying photography and visual arts in the Photography & Writing program. While they come from different backgrounds and artistic approaches, they all share a love for art and a deep appreciation for Florence.

This exhibition is designed to celebrate the authentic moments of Florence captured by these students. Their most striking works are highlighted within black frames, allowing their raw visuals and personal experiences to take center stage. These tiny images, while only 6x6cm, create a powerful window into the city.

Over the course of a few weeks, these artists gained the technical skills to guide viewers throughout Florence. One student reflected that they hope viewers “find direction, comfort, and belonging” in the city through their work. Tiny Florence: Windows into the City is open from Thursday, February 12 until Wednesday, March 11.
