Final Student Exhibit , Fall 2024: “Expressions of Beauty”

Welcome to Florence University of the Arts Corridoio Fiorentino! This Fall, the gallery presents a diverse body of works by students in various programs. While the primary medium is photography, the techniques utilized combine physical formats and other methods of art. Each artist brings a unique perspective into the exhibition, allowing the viewer to gain a broad understanding of the intricate experience of Florence.

The experience level of the students ranges from beginner to advanced. For some students, this is their first time practicing the medium, while for others it is a passion they wish to pursue in the future. This aligns with Corridoio Fiorentino’s mission of fostering a broader understanding of the art world, and how to express one’s self in their environment, branching out of comfort zones and into new experiences.

Every person sees the world in a different light, and this can be seen through the pieces in this exhibit. Some are drawn to landscape, others portraiture, and others documentation of daily life. Wherever their inspiration comes from, photography serves as the medium to capture these momentary expressions of beauty and life- specifically, the beauty we can see all around us, if we only open our eyes and our minds.

FUA’s vision focuses on concepts of engagement and experiential learning in the community and this is visible in the collection exhibited in Corridoio Fiorentino. This group exhibition showcases a body of works representative of the feelings and experiences of those studying abroad. We welcome you to explore the gallery and appreciate each piece!
